Laura Figueroa

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she is the youngest of three children with an immense passion for business. She studied Business Administration at the University of Puerto Rico and pursued various technical courses in the beauty industry. At the age of 22, she opened her first beauty salon and became a nail technician teacher at a non-profit organization. 

While in Central Florida, she formalized her education as a Pastry Chef and studied hotel and restaurant management. Additionally, she serves as a 'sugar angel' for the non-profit organization, Icing Smiles. She also teaches private seminars in many areas of the baking industry, focusing on cake pastries, cakes pastries and more, and pastries and more. Notably, Laura Figueroa was the past director and sponsor of the competition for sugar artists called Master Cake The Challenge held in March 2023. Also, she is a certified barista by the Specialty Coffee Association. Our coffee shop was rebranding, and the service is better than ever., because she developed her very own Coffee Brand, Montes 9230 Specialty Coffee and her commitment to help our veterans is part of their mission.

Since choosing hospitality as her profession, she has consistently challenged herself and created to ensure she can please even the most demanding customer and palate, because everyone deserves to enjoy a quality dessert!
